NOTES: All locomoitves are lettered for NBSR, except leased units.

The NBSR and Eastern Maine RY together with CM&Q operate the former Canadian Pacific line between Montreal and St. John. Together the two lines connect Brownsville Jct with the port of St. John, Canada's second busiest on the Atlantic; so they are quite important.

The EMRY does not own locomotives; NBSR supplies units as needed.

Leased CN GP-9m's may be seen switching St. John.
