Note 1:

The 83-Ton A1A-A1A's -later re# 5701/5770- were dubbed 'the Coopers' by the engineers, inclusive a long time after Fiat engines replaced the original Cooper-Bessemer engines... the 95-Ton C-C's -re# 6701/6705- were simply called by them as 'the Alcos'. .... (Anibal Mucci).

There were no shovelnoses here (Argentina), only named for original prime mover "Cooper" Also these locomotive predate far more than WP&Y ones, "specially designed by GE" as said David P. Morgan Trains magazine editor at that time who also coined the term shovelnoses. David did not know that more than a thouthand similar locomotives were biult by GE for every country in world, for instance, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Brasil, Zambia, Nigeria and many many countries. WP&Y were built several years after GE discontinued series production. . . . (Jorge Garreta Mendoza).
