  • ** The first DT 66-2000 was built in May 1946 as Elgin Joliet & Eastern #100. At 70'-6" the demonstrator was 4-1/2 feet shorter than production units that began in March 1948.
  • ** All of the DT 66-2000 production units were driven by two 606SC (supercharged) prime mover. In contrast BLW #2000 was powered by two 608NA (normally aspirated) engines.
